Texas Hold’em With A Twist
2-6 players square off in fast-paced showdowns as they compete to end each round with the best poker hand. The twist: each card has an ability. Play it straight to strengthen your poker hand or trigger its special ability to flip the odds, sabotage your rivals and unleash pure havoc.
Only your holster counts
Five cards on Main Street. Two cards in your holster. The best 5-card poker hand wins the game. Come up with your strategy for the best two cards in your holster before the last card on Main Street is revealed.
Every card has a special ability.
Some cards attack when you play them. Other cards let you stack the odds, manipulate Main Street and trick your opponents, but at a cost. When you play the cards, you lose them. So what’ll it be, partner?
Keep your enemies close
Peek at a rival's holster. Force the table to expose a card. Or swap one of yours for one of theirs. And watch out for that Amalgamation, which can change the odds in an instant.
The world
Who is Melinda West?
A stoic sharpshooter in an Old West that went wrong. In KC Grifant’s novels, Melinda and her easygoing partner Lance Putnam take the jobs nobody else will — the ones where the thing menacing the town is not a man.
The whole cast of the card game is drawn from those books. The Queens are Melinda. The Kings are Lance. Thirteen characters, one to a rank, each with a rule that plays the way they would.
