Monster Gunslingers
Terms of Service
Last updated 10 August 2026
Short version: the web edition is free while it is in beta, it will break sometimes, don’t be unpleasant to other players, and the game — its rules, cards and artwork — belongs to its creator, not to you or to us.
Who you are agreeing with
These terms are between you and GlossyDev(“we”, “us”), which operates this site. The game itself — its rules, card text, characters and artwork — belongs to its creator and is used here under licence. The setting comes from the Melinda West: Monster Gunslinger books by KC Grifant.
By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, please don’t use it.
This is a beta
The web edition is unfinished and free to play while the physical game makes its way to shelves. That means, plainly:
- Things will break, and games in progress may be lost.
- Rules, cards and features will change as the game is tuned — including in ways that reset statistics.
- We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service, including ending the free beta, at any time.
- Nothing here is guaranteed to keep working, and none of it is a promise about the finished product.
If something is broken, please tell us on the bug report form. That is what the beta is for.
Your account
You can play as a guest or create an account. Either way you must give an email address to join the beta, and you agree it is one you actually control. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
You must be at least 13 to use this site. If you are under 18, please check with a parent or guardian first.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms.
Behaving at the table
This is a game about shooting monsters, not about being unpleasant to the person across the table. Don’t use the site to harass, abuse or threaten anyone; don’t choose a display name that is hateful, obscene or impersonates someone else; and don’t try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or to see cards you are not entitled to see.
Automated play — bots, scripts, or anything else that plays for you against other people — is not allowed. The CPU opponents we provide are the exception, obviously.
Who owns what
The game, its rules, card text, characters and artwork belong to their creator. The site and its code belong to us. Nothing here transfers any of that to you: you get permission to play the game on this site for your own enjoyment, and nothing more. Please don’t copy the card art, reproduce the rules as your own, or use any of it commercially without asking.
If you send us a bug report or a suggestion, we may act on it and build it without owing you anything for it. We mention this only so it is clear; we are grateful for reports regardless.
The physical game
This site is not a shop. Where it lets you claim or register a copy of the physical game, that copy is sold by whoever sold it to you, and any question about payment, delivery or refunds is between you and them.
Free, and as-is
The beta is provided free and as-is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise the service will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors — it is a beta, and it is free, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or lost game progress. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you have paid us, which during the beta is nothing.
None of this affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Your data
What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: an email so we can tell you about the launch, your games so the table survives a dropped connection, and anonymous page statistics. No cookies, no tracking, no data sales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the game changes. The date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to play after a change means you accept it. For a material change we will say so rather than editing the page quietly.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, and its courts have jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of where you live.
